Crow and ULE Alliance at the European Utility Week , Amsterdam November 4-6, 2014
Amsterdam, November 3, 2013. The ULE Alliance, a non-profit organisation based in Switzerland, is pleased to announce its attendance together with member companies Crow, Dialog Semiconductor, DSP Group, Lantiq and Vtech at the European Utility Week (EUW, booth 4.G46) in Amsterdam (November 4-6).
Crow presented its ULE portfolio including:
Magnet, Temperature, Flood, Motion, Motion & Camera (Indoor & Outdoor), and 2 Smoke detectors (Smoke & Temperature, Smoke & CO detector).
DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is the worldwide standard for wireless phones. It is available in over 100 countries and operates in 600 millions households.
While DECT is the leading technology for audio services, it has evolved with the ULE (Ultra Low Energy) dedicated for home automation, safety and security applications with its low energy smart home solution.
With a range of 600 m outdoor and 70 m indoor, communication is done point to point. By using the DECT ULE 1.9GHz frequency, wireless connectivity is interference-free.
Users will be able to control Crow’s new range of Smart Plugs, Smoke and Motion Detectors, security PIR Cameras and Thermostats via a smartphone or tablet. These solutions will make it easier for consumers to reduce energy usage by ensuring they haven’t left electrical goods on standby, adjust heating levels in each room and monitor security and fire alerts remotely or when they’re at home.
Pairing each device with an IP gateway, which could be a broadband router or DECT phone base station with an Ethernet connection is plug-and-play.
